Adjusting to different life stages
I get it. You might be a parent. You might be a student. You might be an employee or a business owner. You might be dating. You might have just lost someone you love unexpectedly. You might have just heard some tough news. You might have had a really tough childhood and are tired of living in survival mode. You might be trying to get by or just to the next day. Sometimes you are facing multiple things at once. It can be hard to manage it all while trying to heal. Here at SST, we want you to feel like “this person gets it”. Our goal is to not have you in therapy forever, but for you to attain the necessary tools that help you confront challenges, more empowered.

Therapy for children is done in the language of children - play. It is the way children communicate about their world and also are able to engage without feeling intimidated. Virtual sessions use creative, therapeutic forms to engage children in this way. It is our priority to be innovative in the ways we reach children.
For adolescents, we take pride in being able to relate and reach them. Teens have a unique experience where they are old enough to formulate their own opinions and feelings about the world, but have limited autonomy or control over most factors that affect them. Then you add societal pressures, social media, navigating relationships, all while still trying to figure themselves out. It’s hard out there for teens.
SST does not want to be another adult telling kids what to do. Instead SST wants to be a space where they can express themselves freely, while being challenged to consider different perspectives and reflect on what they can control in a loving, nonjudgmental environment.
Child therapy at Sammon Safe requires parents to be engaged in youth’s treatment. We are only with client’s once a week. To better support change, a parent’s engagement is necessary.
