Meet the clinician

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey who specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, stress management, self-esteem concerns, ADHD, and grief. I also work with children who experience behavioral challenges and difficulty managing their emotions.

One of my areas of expertise is the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Through specialized clinical training and ongoing professional development, I have developed extensive knowledge and experience in Exposure and Response Prevention, an evidence-based treatment considered the gold standard for OCD. If you feel like you have tried different approaches to treatment without making the progress you had hoped for, I would be happy to support you in finding a path forward and reconnecting with the person you want to be.

I founded SST with the mission of making quality mental health care accessible. Being a clinician is one of the most meaningful “hats” I wear, and I take great pride in balancing my professionalism with what I consider to be one of my greatest strengths: simply being human. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling understood, supported, and accepted. My hope is that SST becomes a space where you feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self and find the healing and growth you have been looking for.

Education & Clinical Experience

I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration from Saint Peter’s University, followed by my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. During my graduate training, I completed an internship at the university's community clinic, where I gained valuable experience working with individuals across a wide range of age groups. This experience also strengthened my ability to build meaningful therapeutic relationships in a virtual setting, as the clinic operated entirely remotely. Additionally, I completed an internship at a Partial Hospitalization Program, where I provided therapeutic support to children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including suicidal ideation, mania, eating disorders, PTSD, and behavioral challenges.

Prior to opening SST, I worked in a variety of mental health settings, providing therapeutic services to individuals and families with diverse and often complex needs. My experience includes supporting individuals experiencing homelessness with severe, persistent mental illness, as well as facilitating processing groups for incarcerated individuals. I have also led after-school groups for middle school girls navigating emotional challenges and experiences of bullying. Additionally, I spent six years working as an in-home therapist, providing a higher level of care to children and their families. These experiences have allowed me to develop a strong clinical foundation and the confidence to support individuals and families through a wide range of challenges. They have also taught me the importance of meeting people where they are, recognizing that everyone's journey looks different.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in honesty, collaboration, and compassion. I believe in being direct and genuine while also making room for humor (because if you don't laugh, you'll cry!). I recognize that no two clients are the same, which is why I tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual's needs, goals, and experiences. I also place a strong emphasis on psychoeducation throughout the therapeutic process. I firmly believe that the more you understand yourself, your experiences, and the patterns that influence your life, the better equipped you are to make meaningful and lasting changes.

Above all, I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be yourself, ask questions, work through difficult emotions, and feel supported without judgment. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. I look forward to connecting with you and being part of your journey!

CEO & Founder

“Going to talk to essentially a stranger, can be frightening, but it is indicative of your strength and desire to combat whichever barriers you are facing. As a clinician it is of great importance for me to provide a space where my clients and I can collaborate in a conducive manner with respect, empathy, and understanding. Therapy is a tool to help along each individual journey and therefore, I respect clients’ individuality when seeking treatment. My goal as a therapist is to strengthen self awareness to allow you to feel empowered in any situation.”
